From advisory experience to accessible tools

MyApproved is Charles Hong’s mortgage advisory brand serving clients in Ontario. Charles brings 14 years of experience at S&P to his mortgage work. The proposed AI project connects this financial-market background with tools that help people understand their options before a conversation with an advisor.

A focused first step: mortgage renewal

The working calculator compares two constant-rate scenarios using a mortgage balance, remaining amortization period, and two example interest rates. It shows estimated monthly payments and interest over a comparison period. Calculations run locally in the browser.

Planned role for AI

We plan to explore AI integration to explain calculated differences in English and Korean, make assumptions clear, and help visitors prepare questions for an advisor. Numerical calculations will remain in deterministic application code.

The current prototype uses a structured summary template. AI integration is not connected yet, and no AI assistant is currently available. Document uploads and automated pre-approval are outside the first prototype’s scope.

Designed to support a conversation

This educational tool does not determine lending eligibility, approve a mortgage, or recommend a lender. It does not collect documents, send financial inputs to a server, or retain those inputs. Actual mortgage terms and applications require a separate advisory process.
